Exploring the beauty of Sylhet

25 august 2023

In the middle of May, I got a chance to visit Sylhet, the picturesque city located in the northeastern part of Bangladesh.Sylhet had always intrigued me with it's lush tea gardens, stunning landscapes and rich cultural heritage.Eager to uncover it's hidden treasures,I embarked on a memorable journey to sylhet,a place that would leave an indelible mark on my heart.

As I entered sylhet,I was immediately mesmerized by the vast tea estates that stretched as far as the eye could see.The tea gardens with their perfectlt manicured rows vibrant green leaves, provided a serene backdrop for my exploration.Walking through the gardens,I was lost in green and had the opportunity to taste the world renowned Sylheti tea, known for it's distinctive flavour and aroma.                                                                                                                                                                                                              My next stop was Jaflong,a place of outstanding natural beauty.Located on the banks of river,Jaflong captivated me with it's rolling hills, crystal clear water bodies and captivating stone quarries. The boat ride allowed me to immerse myself in the tranquility of the surrounding. Then I went to Ratargul swamp forest,a hidden gem in Sylhet offered a unique and immersive experience. As I ventured into

the swamp forest, the lush greenery engulfed me creating a serene atmosphere. The boat riding was enjoyable.                                                                                                                                                                                   I was very excited to touch the clean water of  Sadapathor. The view of Cherrapunji located at Meghalaya in India just after the border was eye-catching.The next place was Mayabi waterfall. The cold water of Mayabi waterfall enveloped my body, washing away the fatigue of the journey leaving me feeling refreshed and revitalized.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           My journey through Sylhet was a remarkable experience that left me captivated by natural wonders, cultural richness and warm hospitality.Wish I could stay there long.
