Having a cat as your child
Pets can be as annoying as a child. For me, that annoying child is my cat named Leo, who will not stop running around creating a mess around the home until he gets the attention he deserves. He never stops being cute either, he will do whatever it takes to get his favorite food which is boiled liver at his designated time ( Yes, i was also very disgusted at first, to give him this boiled liver which he considered food really didn’t sit right with me). Anywho, even though he can be annoying like crazy, we all love him. He has become the favorite member of the family. I think even my parents would pick him if they had to pick between him, my brother, and I. But it’s fine, we love him just as much. All his shenanigans end up brightening our days. But sometimes, he can become a nuisance, after coming back home from a long and tiring day, and seeing your cat has pissed all over your bed or chair can totally make you lose your mind. But the bond you can share with your cat can go beyond the traditional definition of a pet-owner relationship, the mischievous, curious and independent creatures can bring endless joy and comfort into a person’s life.
Caring for a cat teaches us responsibility and can help us grow as a person, it can help improve our time management skills and become more organised. Just like a child we have to pay attention to their physical wellbeing as well and make sure they’re getting the appropriate amount of playtime as they should. And making sure their behaviour while playing or through out the day is not out of the ordinary. But caring for a cat is not as hard it is for a human baby, Having to listen to them cry out loud for no reason is something i just can’t withstand. So I’ll definitely say that cats are a better child to have than an actual one.
The playtime we share with the pets are the core memories we will have for the rest of our lives and the same goes for them, the constant tail wagging while running around trying to bite their fellow human’s legs helps forget the exhausting day that the human might have had. The satisfying purring noise acts as white noise when you’re trying to sleep.
Having a pet can be expensive as well, especially when it’s of a foreign breed, you might have to care for them more. You can feed them only canned food, and use shampoos of a certain brand since they’re prone to be more sensitive. But it’s much better to adopt a stray cat rather than buying one of a foreign breed. Since buying would only promote animal breeders, who keep animals in extreme conditions, which causes most of them to fall sick. By keeping a stray cat as your pet would mean they’d finally have a home where they could experience unconditional love, something we want all animals to experience. This would reduce expenses by alot as well, since stray cats are usually much less expensive to take care of.
In conclusion, having a cat as your child can be a remarkable journey through which you can grow, share beautiful moments and experience unconditional love. They teach us valuable lifen lessons and remind us of the simple joys of life, So if you’re thinking about getting a cat as your pet or child, I think you should definitely go for it.
