Heal mind, help others
Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices.
Nowadays mental health issues have become such a wide concern. The number if people diagnosed with mental issues are more than ever. Often we notice people around us suffering from mental illnesses. But, the problem with this scenario is that, many people do not believe in or do not have the knowledge of mental health issues. This is noticeable all around us. Whenever a person is seemed to be quite, sad or detached from other things and seems to be daydreaming, people either neglect it or make fun of it. But this is totally wrong.A person who has been affected by mental disorders or have been suffering from depression has to be taken care of properly. Other people should lend a hand to share his/her feelings even if they cannot solve the problem. To be honest, the root of this problem actually originates from the ignorance of the family members. Mental health issues such as depression are like traps. A person becomes trapped inside his/her own thoughts, inside his/her own minds and cannot think of a way out or believes there to be a way out. In such cases, help from other people is highly recommended.
The person himself/herself should approach people close to them and talk to them about his/her condition. Like any other sickness, mental sickness can be treated with expert care. Hence, one should consider going to a psychiatrist or psychologist and consult about his condition. But still, there is one aspect that remains, and that is the person's own willingness to make things better for himself. A primary prerequisite for depression to occur can be someone's disappointments with his/her own life. It acts as quicksand and drags the person deeper and deeper until he/she thinks that there's no way out. But at this point, it is always necessary to remember that no matter the circumstances we always have the freedom of our own actions and the choice to take them. In keeping the information in mind and acting accordingly, one can hope to overcome the depths of his/her mental issues or help someone else overcome their.
In the end, I just want to say it is my firm belief that we always have the choice to take actions and drive our lives to a better position. I really believe that this single thought is enough to inspire and encourage people to take matters of their lives in their own hands and solve their issues to live a better life.
